Posh - Howe Opts for South Coast Stay!

Better the devil you know!

I have to say I was more than a little surprised when the name of Eddie Howe was put in the frame as being the leading contender for the managerial chair at London Road.

Although Howe is doing a wonderful job down at AFC Bournemouth he`s still what, I would call, a fledgling manager. He`s, currently, the youngest manager in the Football League and is still learning the ropes.

AFC Bournemouth may be exceeding expectations in League Two, especially since he took over, but the Championship, as Darren Ferguson found out, is a whole new ball game.

Surely we need someone with a proven background at this level do we not?

Therefore, I`m a little thankful that Eddie Howe and AFC Bournemouth have dismissed the interest shown by Posh!
