Posh Plunder Non-League Football (Again)!

Posh Plunder Non-League Football (Again)!

Posh continue to plunder the non-leagues and today announced the signing of Josh Simpson.

Josh has been signed, on loan with a view to a permanent deal in January, after impressing Darren Ferguson during a recent turn-out for Posh reserves.

At twenty-two he`s still young enough to make his mark in football and Ferguson has enthused about the signing telling the local media,

'We had received good reports about Josh and also had him watched before he did very well for the reserves on Tuesday.

'Josh can play wide on the right or just off the front and will give us good options. To be honest I didn't need very long at all to make my mind up."

'He is a very good footballer who understands the game well and I feel he is capable of going straight into the squad and doing a job in the Championship."

'It is important to bring in players after having four defenders on the bench on Saturday, especially as some other attacking players at the club have not done well enough.'

From Histon to Newcastle and St James Park, that`s one hell of a step up in class.

Let`s hope young Josh is as good as Ferguson believes!
