Posh - Boyd Sets London Road Alight!

Posh - Boyd Sets London Road Alight!

If there was ever a better way to win a game then I`ve not witnessed it!

Picture the scene, injury time beckons, you`ve pulled it back to 2-2 from 2-0 down, a cross flies into the box and there is George Boyd poised with his back to the goal, expected to turn he deftly back-heels it into the net - cue pandemonium inside London Road.

It still brings a smile to my face some two days after it happened.

After the game our hero, George Boyd, spoke about he result and his goal to the media, remarking,

"It was a win we deserved and it was a great feeling to see my effort go in. I didn`t think about it, it was instinct."

"I have found you get more time in this division and that suits my game. It has got easier the higher I went up."

"This is a footballing league, while in League One and League Two most teams are brutes and don`t play football. The Premier League should be even easier! But we need to go on a run now."
.

We do George and a win against Newcastle, in the Carling Cup this Tuesday, would be most welcomed!
