'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Posh - Mclean`s Goal meant So Much!

Taking the lead at mega-rich, but struggling to climb out of the Championship, QPR was, in my opinion, the highlight of the season so far!

What do you mean we`re only six games in?

When Tom Williams delivered one of those crosses we all know he`s capable and Aaron Mclean glanced it in I almost welled up.

Like Aaron, us supporters have come a long way in a short space of time and it`s great to see that both Aaron and his striking partner, Craig Mackail-Smith, can score at this level after coming through from non-league football.

Talking after the match, Aaron had this to say and his sentiments echo ours,

'I was delighted with the goal. We strikers moan about crosses not being delivered early enough, but Tommy Williams sent some quality ones over especially the one I managed to score from."

'It was a good moment for me because I want to prove that I can play at Championship level and higher if possible."

'My attitude hasn't changed since my non-league days. I just go out there and try and play as well as I can."

'I have confidence in my ability to score goals at any level and I'm playing for a team that will create chances even in the Championship."

Just keep on scoring Aaron and our poor start will become history, believe me!
