Posh - It`s Another Home Defeat!

Peterborough slipped to another defeat in their plethora of friendly fixtures, against Premier League sides, ahead of the new season.

After going down to Tottenham and Aston Villa but plucking a draw from nowhere against Fulham, Sunderland were the latest team to leave Sunderland with a win.

However, it should be said that Posh can consider themselves unlucky losing to a penalty and an own goal despite Craig Mackail-Smith being the only probable starter for the forthcoming fixture on Saturday, at Derby.

The penalty was scored by Fraser Campbell, on his Sunderland debut, and Danny Blanchett was unfortunate enough to be the player to put through his own net.

Many may rue the fact that so many of these games have ended in defeat but here at Vital Posh we`re of the opinion that it gives us the chance to glimpse at what level we have to be if we do have aspirations of playing in the Premier League in as little as three years time
