With the dream being that Posh will be playing Premier League football in three years time, if not less, the thorny subject of using London Road as our base continues to raise its ugly head.
London Road, a ground rented by Posh for a fee of £280,000 a season is far from suitable to host such a brand of football as the Premier League on a regular basis. Indeed, some would say that it`s hardly fit to stage regular Championship football.
Off course Posh do still have the option of staying at London Road until 2014 but thankfully, as revealed in an interview on Radio Cambridgeshire, Darragh MacAnthony has every intention of having vacated London Road for pastures anew long before then.
Speaking on BBC Radio Cambridgeshire, Darragh had this to say about the continuing rumours relating to the new stadium,
'It's very frustrating for everybody, but stay positive.'
'The council is right behind it, there will be some good news soon. It will be a centre-piece in Peterborough.'
Here at Vital Posh we await any further news with baited breath.![]()
