Posh - Ferguson Contract Deal Latest!

With Roberto Di Matteo now sitting proudly in the managerial chair at West Brom, the rumour mill continues to suggest that the job was there for the taking if Darren Ferguson wanted it.

Thankfully, Darren views Posh as unfinished business and any intentions of moving were washed away on a tide of loyalty.

It`s a tide of loyalty that has seen Darragh MacAnthony step forward with the promise of an improved contract for the highly rated manager.

Speaking about the situation Darragh told the local rag,

'My jet lands at 8am next Wednesday in Spain and I have meetings scheduled all day with directors of the club. "

'Then I'm meeting the manager to discuss his new contract as promised when we spoke at the final game of the season. I find it a massive compliment that he turned down even speaking to West Brom as he was their number one choice."

'It's refreshing to have that kind of loyalty at our club and bodes well for next season.'

Darragh, within reason, give Darren what he wants, he`s a gem and you and I know that!
