Posh - West Ham Starlet Targeted?

Posh - West Ham Starlet Targeted?

If you`re looking for a good rumour on yet another day when the only news about seems to be that relating to our manager interesting other clubs, this will do for starters.

Some web sites are suggesting that Posh are looking to take the West Ham United youngster, Freddie Sears, on loan.

Apparently, the story goes that Gianfranco Zola has told the youngster, who is still 19, that his development would be aided by a year in the Championship.

Sears a striker, scored on his West Ham United debut, less than six minutes after coming on, and is tipped as having a bright future.

However, whether he ends up at London Road for a season remains to be seen. His acquisition would fit the model suggested whereby season long loan signings are planned to strengthen the squad.

Also, there is also the suggestion that we have rivals for his signature in the shape of two established Championship sides in the shape of Sheffield Wednesday and Crystal Palace.
