Posh - Bids in For Players Already!

Earlier this week there was an implication that Posh would be looking to sign some new players to bolster their ambitions of making an impact in the Championship next season.

I seem to remember that six was the number quoted, today the local media are carrying stories that bids have already been submitted for a couple of players with Barry Fry commenting,

'We made bids when we went up for a couple of players Darren had identified."

'We've agreed the price with certain clubs and we want to conclude those deals as soon as possible.'

It would seem that Posh are keen to tie up deals using their new found status as a persuasive factor but Fry wouldn`t elaborate as to who the players might be simply adding,

'Knowing the young ambitious chairman and manager they'll both want to go into the Championship to compete."

'Obviously the squad needs strengthening and I think there's a lot of wheeling and dealing to be done.'

It promises to be an intriguing few months before we get under way again doesn't it!
