Posh - In the TV Money!

One of the bug-bears of the lower league clubs is that the vast sum of money poured into the game by the television companies isn`t evenly split.

The lion`s share has always, and I suppose always will, go to the big clubs.

Well, now we`ve moved up the league ladder courtesy of our promotion from League One, it looks as if Posh will benefit more from the television money.

The local newspaper is quoting a figure that, compared to this season is simply mind-boggling.

It`s being claimed that Posh, next season will receive 2.38 million from the television companies and that will be boosted by 100,000 for every game they appear live in.

Now if you compare that with this season whereby we, apparently, received 400,000 with a 30,000 bonus for every live appearance, it truly does appear we`ve hit the jackpot.

But, I have to say, it doesn`t make me feel any better for those languishing from whence we`ve come!
