MacAnthony! Why Posh?

It was perhaps inevitable that in the aftermath of our most glorious moment, promotion to the Championship, that Darragh MacAnthony would get asked why he purchased Posh.

The response was to the point and didn`t pamper to all those who were seeking a long declaration of allegiance to the London Road club when he commented,

"The reason I chose Peterborough was because I was looking to buy a football club and they were the only one available at the time."

"It`s as simple as that, there`s no big mystery. I wanted to buy a club, I bought one. I`ve had two great years and hopefully there will be many more ahead."

It`s probably not the answer the reporter was looking for but then again it doesn`t make us any the less grateful that we have a great owner who wants the very best for us does it?
