Saturday, come 14:00 hours, we`ll have a fair indication of where we stand with regards automatic promotion.
Aw in against the current leaders will cement our claims for that second automatic spot whilst also give us a little belief that we could even catch Leicester City.
The gap is currently seven points but that`ll come down to four if we`re successful at London Road in this fixture.
With the memory of a 4-0 thrashing in the reciprocating fixture, earlier this season, there could also be a hint of revenge in the air, that battering, without doubt, was the worst result of the season.
On the team news front, Posh appear to have a slight advantage. International calls have not affected us at all and Darren Ferguson expects to welcome back Gabriel Zakuani, from suspension, with Chris Westwood likely to make way.
However, Leicester will be without their striker Steve Howard (suspended), Andy King (Wales U21 duty) and Tom Cleverly (injury). The absence of Howard is likely to be their biggest loss as his sheer physical presence causes defences problems.
Speaking about the task ahead Darren Ferguson has remarked, in his customary pre-match interview,
'The crowd is our 12th man tomorrow. They picked us up and carried us over the finishing line against Northampton and hopefully they can lift us again."
'The players are raring to go and I certainly won't need to motivate them."
'We are going to attack and go all out for a win. We don't know any other way to play.'
The atmosphere, especially in those last fifteen minutes against Northampton was something special. With 14,000 (a capacity for London Road) packed in, let`s hope the early kick-off doesn`t dampen the atmosphere on what could well be a seminal few hours in our season.
Come on Posh!
