Much of the focus in recent days is how will Manchester United react to their recent thrashing by Liverpool.
The mark of sides destined for better things is how they react to such beatings.
Posh experienced their own disappointments earlier this month when home defeats against Southend and Yeovil looked like resulting in our promotion chase coming off the rails.
Thankfully, it didn`t quite happen and the team have rallied superbly to be within sight of securing that automatic second promotion place.
Our club captain, Russell Martin, has spoke about those defeats suggesting that they spurred Posh on to pick up the pace, here`s what Martin had to say to the local media,
'We were just really disappointed with ourselves. It's six dropped points that could have made a massive difference to us. "
'I think it has spurred us on, perhaps it gave us a wake-up call to be at it every game.'
Martin is also confident that the forthcoming months of April and May will provide us with the end result we all crave - promotion - claiming,
'If we carry on playing the way we have the last couple of weeks we're more than capable of doing it.'
'The squad are really together and even the boys who aren't playing are helping us through."
'Everyone knows that if you don't perform one game there's someone else there ready to step in.'
I guess it`s a strength in depth we`ve never been privilged to have before.
Lets hope we don`t suffer any more slip ups!
