Posh v Cobblers - Take 1 (Local Derbies)

Posh v Cobblers - Take 1 (Local Derbies)

Don`t you just love local derbies?

They bring out those extra ingredients that make run-of-the-mill fixtures so mundane!

Northampton Town arrive at London Road keen to put a damper on our promotion aspirations, it`s up to us to show that we`ll not lie down easily.

In the build up to the clash, Darren Ferguson has given a brief insight into affairs by remarking,

'Northampton is a massive game for us,'

'Local derbies tend to look after themselves as far as motivation is concerned, but we have plenty more at stake."

'We should get a good crowd and if we give another performance like Tuesday, they will go home happy.'

All I`ll say is a win is essential; a good performance would be a bonus!
