It was a sight for sore eyes (where does that saying come from?) to see Dean Keates bend that free kick almost Beckham like into the net.
If he could do that every week then promotion would be a certainty.
After the win up at Victoria Park, over Hartlepool United, George Boyd, the scorer of the winner, discussed Deano`s free kick and also the priority for the season.
First, that great free kick,
"Dean`s always going on about his old free kicks, but now we can believe him. He keeps telling us to You-Tube them - at least we don`t have to now."
Does anyone know, is there footage of Saturday`s free kick on You-Tube yet?
Secondly, the result and our true goal this season,
"We were put under a lot of pressure here, but these are the sort of games we need to win if we`re to get promoted."
"It wasn`t about pretty football, it was about the result and three points can take us a long way to promotion with MK Dons slipping up."
"We all know where we want to be next season and the gaffer has set us that target."
As the games run down and we remain in second place, is it only my heart that keeps skipping beats?
