'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Posh - Digging Deep!

Darren warned us that it would be a hard fixture.

He warned us that Carlisle were in a false position in the league and as usual Darren was right.

Speaking after the narrow 1-0 win over Carlisle on Tuesday evening, he had this to say to the gathered media,

'We weren't at our best last night, but we kept our nerve, stayed patient and disciplined and then we struck from one of the chances we usually create."

'I said at half-time that our back four were the most important players. If they could keep us a clean sheet I was confident we would win because we always create chances."

'It took us a while to get going and we had to change shape after struggling early on, but we got there in the end."

'There were plenty of games last season when we had to dig out 1-0 wins at home and I suspect that will be the case again this season."
Before getting to the crux of the matter and remarking,

'It's my job now to keep the players relaxed. We have 13 games left and it's important that we don't waste this golden opportunity to reach the Championship.'

It`s mouth-watering that prospect isn`t it?
