Posh Attendances - Good News!

I know I constantly harp on about Posh not getting larger attendances than they currently do; it`s just that I want to see London Road full every game.

Nevertheless, credit where credit is due at least our average attendance this season is larger than last season.

In fact the local media are quoting that it is 17% higher and that we`re not far from the average targeted by Darragh MacAnthony.

Apparently the target was 7,000 and we`re currently sitting at 6,977, which is quite an achievement prompting Darragh to remark,

'I am delighted that we are on course for the average we wanted and with massive games against Leicester, Northampton and others still to come, we should surpass the target."

'I was gutted to only just creep over the 6,000 mark for the Yeovil game recently as I really thought we would pull in a minimum of 8,000 as there had not been a game for a while due to the weather."

'But it's all part of the long-term plan I had when I bought the club and I still feel there are thousands of people in the area we will finally attract and bring into the ground over the coming years."

'We can only strive to improve year on year on the field and off it.'

So, if you`re contemplating getting down to London Road tonight make sure you do, this club is going places.
