Posh - Lewis Stands Out!

With the boo-boys getting on his back after his error against Yeovil on Saturday, Vital Posh were prominent in asking for Joe Lewis to be given a confidence boost to get his season back on track.

Last night, up at Prenton Park, Lewis gave the sort of performance that had everyone drooling last season. He was quality personified and his performance brought a glowing attribute from Darren Ferguson who remarked in his post match interview with the media,

'I have no doubts that we have a top class goalkeeper on our hands."

'He knows he has made some mistakes, but we should all remember that he's just a baby in goalkeeping terms."

'His temperament is first-class though and I was confident that he would deliver a performance and he did."

'I felt he was magnificent. It would have been easy for him to run away and hide, but he stood up to everything they threw at him.'

Let`s hope that it`s the first of many great displays to come as we head towards the crucial end of the season.
