Posh - Is Lewis the New David James?

Posh - Is Lewis the New David James?

It`s a question that simply popped into my head!

At times Joe Lewis is a classy keeper but at times his errors leave you holding your head in your hands.

Remind you of anybody does it?

Yesterday, with Posh pushing to get back into the game with Yeovil leading 2-1, it was an almost comical error from Lewis that pushed the game out of our reach.

Sadly, with his confidence obviously ebbing, the London Road boo-boys got on his back probably the last thing he heeds.

Darren Ferguson, talking to Radio Cambridgeshire, summed matters up by remarking about Lewis,

'Don't get me wrong, he can't keep costing us but I'm confident he'll get through it."

'I can understand why fans want Mark Tyler back but I'm standing by Lewis one hundred percent.'

'I've got to stick by the boy, everyone was raving about him last season.'

'You can see the confidence is draining out of him but he's got to play through it."

So, come on folks, let`s give him our support and not further drain his confidence, the lad deserves better doesn`t he?

For every error James make, he'll make half a dozen saves most keepers wont't. Very easy to critical but if you're keeper get's to be half as good as James, then hang onto him!
