'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Posh Sign Lincoln City Player!

And there we were preparing to launch into anther speculative article relating to filling the midfield spot vacated by Andrew Crofts and Posh go and ruin it.

Just typical isn`t it on a day when any hopes of football tomorrow, at London Road, were also dashed.

Posh have just announced that the midfield vacany will be filled by Lee Frecklington.

Frecklington will join Posh from Lincoln City on a three month loan spell starting next Tuesday.

It`s hoped that he can be registered at least three hours before our kick-off with Brighton thereby making him eligible to play.

Also, it is hoped that the deal will become a permanent one at the end of the season.

Speaking about the deal, Barry Fry had this to say,

'We've done a deal and he's expected to sign on Tuesday in time to be involved at Brighton."

'The manager wanted to re-inforce the midfield after he lost Andrew Crofts. We had a number of targets which included an experienced player with international experience, but in the end we have stuck to our policy of signing young, hungry players.'

At twenty-three years of age Frecklington fulfils those credentials and he`ll be looking to add to his current tally of seven goals this season once he pulls on our familiar blue shirt.

Welcome to London Road, Lee Frecklington.

Good luck to Frecklington. Hopefully he will now go on to fulfil his potential.
