Posh - Midfield Replacement Speculation (1)
With Andrew Crofts returning, surprisingly, to Gillingham, we`re having to wait patiently until 10th February for a loan replacement.
In the meantime, we can only speculate as to who Darren Ferguson might line-up to arrive at London Road to bolster our promotion push.
Interestingly, one name that has been mentioned on several internet thread is that of Rodrigo Possebon.
Possebon is a Manchester United player and any suggestions that it was even a possibility would have been laughed at considering it was once a no-go when it came to fatherly assistance for his son. However, the James Chester deal has broken new ground so perhaps this rumour isn`t as far fetched as first thought.
So what do we know about Possebon.
"He`s described as a tall elegant midfielder who fits into the idea of a modern footballer. He has very good ability and is a box-to-box player rather than your silky tricky midfielder. He`s very steady."
Well that`s how www.redrants.com describes him.
Currently, the lad is looking to gain valuable match fitness after suffering the heartbreak of a broken leg and whilst many may suggest that Sir Alex would normally be looking for a Championship side to ease him back into contention for a return to the United squad, in reality are we that far below that sort of standard? I`d suggest not!
Therefore there is, we feel, the possibility of this deal perhaps happening.
Your thoughts would be appreciated.
