Posh - Tranmere Fixture in Doubt!

It could be another fixture that falls victim to the weather!

After the clash with MK Dons was postponed, at lunch time on Tuesday due to a frozen pitch, it seems that our fixture against Tranmere, at Prenton Park on Saturday could go the same way.

Reports reaching us suggest that, at the moment, 75% of the pitch is currently not playable and, in line with new procedures put in place by the Football League, a pitch inspection will be made at lunchtime tomorrow.

This new directive is aimed to prevent unnecessary travel only to find the fixture is postponed at the last moment. Indeed, Tranmere themselves made a ten hour journey to Colchester last weekend only to return after the match was called off.

Therefore, any football this Saturday, involving Posh, will rest on a decision made by the match official, Phil Gibbs, tomorrow, fingers crossed everyone.
