When I took over the editorial status on this site I anticipated a lot of the input would revolve around the very popular Barry Fry.
Unfortunately, for the first six weeks he seemed to have taken a vow of silence.
But now, in the last few days he seems to have awoken with a vengeance and the latest subject of his fury is the Cambridge United director George Rolls.
Naturally, his verbal spat revolves around the Scott Rendell transfer saga and a potential payment.
Rendell, as we all know, is back at London Road and Fry had this to say about a certain Mr Rolls,
'George Rolls asked me on December 28 what it would take for the deal to keep Scott until the end of the season to be completed."
'I told him a £25,000 loan fee and a £25,000 promotion bonus would be required. They had already bid £100,000 up front with a £25,000 promotion bonus to make the deal a permanent one."
'He rang me back 10 minutes later to say the board had unanimously agreed to the deal. He was due to come in and sign the forms on Monday but I haven't heard from him."
'During this time Scott has been hanging around the Abbey Stadium waiting to sign the forms and is very frustrated. George also moved the goalposts with his personal terms."
What a right old carry on!
