Posh - Mackail-Smith Sees Shrink?

A startling headline and one that needs to be explained further!

It transpires that our 19 goals this season striker, Craig Mackail-Smith, has adopted a slightly different approach to overcome a spell whereby goals were difficult to come by.

Not for our Craig extra time belting ball after ball into the net on a training ground, it seems Craig turned to his mum for inspriration and she recommended he see a psychologist!

Or as Craig explains,

"I was having trouble at Dagenham and felt that my game needed a kick up the backside."

"My mum Yvonne got on to me and told me to go and see a psychologist, bless her."

"I`ve been seeing him for three years, week in and week out. We sit down and chat about forthcoming games and how I`m feeling. I feel it`s done me the world of good and I`m going to keep seeing him."

I`d imagine Craig`s scoring sprees of recent seasons there might well be a queue of mis-firing strikers about to take the same option!
