Posh - Football`s Strange Quirk of Fate?
In one of football`s strange quirks of fate, Posh could, on Saturday, face the very player they secretly hoped to lure to London Road in a loan deal.
Jay Simpson, a promising Arsenal youngster, was all lined up to wear the blue of Posh until bigger clubs came sniffing along.
With one of those bigger clubs being West Brom.
Ahead of our intriguing 3rd round FA Cup tie, Jay has spoken about the deal that never, unfortunately, was, commenting,
'My advisors have arranged for me to join West Brom on loan. They play good football and hopefully I'll get some first-team experience which will give me a good chance at Arsenal in the long-term.'
Things could have been so different Jay, so different!
