Posh - Another Rendell Mystery!

Yesterday we reported how Cambridge United were keen to secure the services of Scott Rendell on a permanent basis.

We even discussed how they were now prepared to match our asking price.

Well it now seems that it`s all gone a bit 'Pete Tong` and gotten a bit ugly.

Posh are suggesting that after agreeing a permanent deal Cambridge United changed their mind and wanted to renegotiate a loan deal, or as Barry Fry puts it (with the colourful language taken out),

'Scott will not be signing for Cambridge on a permanent basis.'

'We accepted a bid but Cambridge have come back and said they now just want to extend his loan deal."

'Scott has scored a number of goals for Cambridge in recent weeks and been performing very well. We will not be extending his loan deal with Cambridge.'

So, it looks like Scott will either have to get used to life at London Road or find another club willing to pay Posh the £120,000 price tag around his neck!
