Birmingham in for Mackail-Smith

It was only ever going to be a matter of time wasn`t it?

After scoring 34 goals in 66 games since being signed by Darren Ferguson, the bigger boys are about to come knocking for Craig Mackail-Smith in the shape of Birmingham City.

Reports in the media, today, indicate that the Birmingham City manager, Alex McLeish, is prepared to tempt Posh with a £4 million bid for the striker ocme January.

The Birmingham gaffer is of the opinion that the added firepower Mackail-Smith would provide would almost guarantee his sides promotion back to the Premier League.

It`ll be interesting to see if Posh have the conviction and the financial muscle to refute such a bid.
