Posh - A Warm Feeling?

Posh - A Warm Feeling?

Does it give you a warm feeling to know that history is on your side or does it fill you with apprehension?

Delving through the record books we find that Posh have never been beaten by our opponents tomorrow, Tranmere Rovers.

In fact, it was only two years ago that we played them in the same stage of the competition with Posh emerging 2-1 victors in an away fixture.

Four years ago (2004), we entertained them in a first round tie at London Road and won by the same score line.

Going back twenty-two years (1976), we again played them in the first round, this time on their patch and emerged emphatic winners with a 4-0 margin.

The year before (1975) we`d been drawn against them in the third round, at London Road, and in a tight game we won 1-0.

Like I said, does it give you a warm feeling or leave you filled with apprehension that such runs always come to an end?
