'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Posh - 'Professional' - The Buzz Word for Sunday!

Sunday draws ever closer and the anticipation levels start to rise.

We`re heading off to East London, a little further out than 'Eastenders` territory to face AFC Hornchurch in the FA Cup first round tie.

For most of us it`ll be the first foray to Upminster for most of us and we`re hoping that we don`t end up on the end of an upset.

Speaking ahead of the game Darren Ferguson has spoken about the challenge ahead, the fact that the stadium and surface doesn`t present s threat and the need to approach the match in a thoroughly professional manager.

This what he had to say to local journalists,

'It's a new stadium and by all accounts the playing surface is really good so there will be no excuses from us if we don't win.'

'That's not to say we will be over-confident. Shocks happen in the FA Cup every season and we must go out of our way to make sure we're not in the headlines."

'That means approaching the match in as professional a manner as possible like we did at Staines last season. We scored an early goal there which set us up nicely so a repeat of that would be ideal."

It certainly would, it`d go a long way to easing those butterflies that build up whenever the FA Cup and a shock are mentioned in the same sentence.
