Posh - Micah Looking To Impress.

Posh - Micah Looking To Impress.

Micah Hyde has had a varied career, he`s played in most divisions and he probably wouldn`t mind admitting that he's now in the twilight of his career.

In fact we hear that Micah, as age catches up with him, is doing his coaching badges as Darren Ferguson uses him more sparingly.

However, our club captain isn`t prepared to throw the towel in just yet, especially after being given a reality check when it comes to not making the first team.

In an interview given to the local press, Micah had this to say,

'I am starting to try and be the complete midfielder because I know I have the ability to do that. Not being in the team gave me a wake-up call as far as I am concerned, but I still need to push myself more and maybe I even need to change my role."

'I have the energy and hopefully I can get on the score sheet. I am certainly looking to score this season, I want to arrive in the box and show what I can do instead of just sitting back."

'I know I can do more. I made my name as an attacking midfielder and since I arrived at this club I have adapted my game."

'Paul Coutts has come into the midfield and he has done well. I tell all the young players not to think about things too much, to go out there and play their natural games and enjoy it.

'Your time as a footballer goes quickly, so go out there and enjoy it, the more you think the more likely you are to make a mistake.'

If Micah follows that philosophy in his coaching career he`ll not go far wrong!
