The (Scott) Rendell Mysteries (2)

This is turning out stranger and stranger!

Over the weekend we ran a story relating to the apparent disgust Luton felt for the way thing turned out in the Scott Rendell saga.

Well, this weekend, things took another turn with our own Barry Fry not even sure why the lad changed his mind with Barry quoted as saying in a Bedfordshire paper,

"Mick Harford came down to see him on Wednesday and as far as I was concerned the lad was going to Luton."

"However by mid-afternoon I got a call from Mick Harford who said that the boy had not turned up to sign his papers and had decided to go to Yeovil instead. It is a complete mystery to me. The boy`s agent said he wanted to play in a higher league, but if that`s the case, why did he turn down a move to Stockport saying he would go to Luton?"

The Luton Town manager, Mick Harford is equally perplexed and quoted as saying in the same paper,

"Scott was due to join us on Thursday morning and we had a phone call from Peterborough to say he`d gone to Yeovil.

"In all fairness to Barry Fry and Darren Ferguson they tried to persuade the boy to come here. He wanted to stay local but something changed his mind."

We guess the truth is out there somewhere!

Is there any chance of a statement Scott?
