Barry Fry Confirms Seven Are Transfer Listed

Barry Fry has revealed that seven Peterborough players have been put on the transfer list, including winger Adam Newton, who still has a year left on his contract, after he expressed a desire to join Brentford: 'Brentford made an enquiry for Adam and he is quite keen on the move,' Fry told the official website. 'Unfortunately Brentford can't afford to pay him what he is getting at Peterborough and we, as a club, are not prepared to give him the money to leave because he has another year left on his contract and ended the season in the team.

'However, Adam has expressed an interest in leaving and that has left the chairman and the manager thinking that it is best that he goes on the transfer list.'

Joining 27-year-old Newton on the transfer list are 'keepers Mark Tyler and Shwan Jalal, defenders Adam Smith and Daniel Blanchett, midfielder Josh Low and striker Danny Crow.
